Runaway Hen Snowshoe Scamper
Overlooking West Grand Traverse Bay in southeastern Leelanau County, Crain Hill Vineyard sits on 45 acres of rolling terrain. Grab your snowshoes and enjoy a 2km or 5km run/walk through the scenic rolling hills of the Brengman Brothers Crain Hill Vineyards. Wine and hot beverages will be available for purchase post-race in the beautiful new tasting room.
What is it?
A snowshoe race and fundraiser. All proceeds from this event will go to the Traverse City West High School Track & Field Program. There will be two race options: 2km (1.2 miles) and 5km (3.1 miles).
When is it?
The race takes place on Saturday, February 25, 2012. The starting gun will sound at 10 am. Packet pick up and late registration will take place Friday, February 24 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 25 from 8:00-9:30 a.m. at Crain Hill Vineyards.
Where is it?
The race takes place at Crain Hill Vineyards, located at 9720 S. Center Highway, Traverse City, MI 49684. It's about a ten-minute drive north of downtown Traverse City in southern Leelanau County.
How much does it cost?
Prices are listed in the column to the left. We never charge processing fees, so when we say $20, we mean it.
What do I get?
Registration includes a Runaway Hen Snowshoe Scamper finisher's award, post-race grub and guzzle, and the satisfaction of knowing you're better than the lazy schlubs that didn't wake up until 11 am on race Sunday. Your entry fee also covers the permit fees, insurance, with the net proceeds of the event going directly to the Traverse City West High School Track & Field Program.

What do I win?
The overall male and female winners of the 2km and 5km races receive a bottle of Crain Hill Vineyards Wine (21+ only), an award, plus free entry into next year's race. The top individual in each age group also receive an award.
